In 2010 Congress passed a resolution designating the week beginning with the second Sunday in September as National Arts in Education Week—to raise awareness of the value and importance of arts in education.
WyAA invites you to join us in recognizing the arts as part of a well-rounded education for students in your community.
What can you do?
Your story is the strongest resource for advocacy. Take time as you go about your daily life this week to share how arts education has had a positive impact. You can join WyAA’s online campaign by sharing your story with photos or video on social media. Use the hashtags #BecauseOfArtsEd #ArtsEdWeek and #MoreArtBetterWyoming to help your posts reach others. Raise visibility by tagging @WyomingArts and your local arts organizations in your posts so we can check out your post and share it. Lastly, you can amplify the stories of others by liking and sharing their posts.
Your signature is the fastest resource for advocacy during Arts in Education Week. If you only have a minute, you can sign your name below in support of the arts in education in your local community. Together, our numbers reach the hearts and minds of our neighbors and policymakers.
Your dollars are the most generous resources you can share. Pledge to make a difference in the lives of students with a contribution to WyAA’s statewide mission.
