As an aggressive deluge of hail and rain dropped on Evanston,—Wyoming Arts Council Deputy Director, Rachel Clifton presented an educational report to members of the 67th Wyoming Legislature’s Joint Travel, Recreation, Wildlife, and Cultural Resources Committee. The committee also received presentations from Wyoming Humanities Council Executive Director, Shawn Reese of Laramie, WyAA Cultural Champion Jennifer Wilkins of Afton, Wyoming Arts Council Board Vice-Chair Adam Harris of Jackson, and Wyoming Arts Council Board Member Kevin Voyles of Thayne.
WyAA Director of Operations, Andrew Schneider of Casper Mountain, presented an update on WyAA’s 5-year Plan and an overview of the creative industries in Wyoming. Download the creative industries handout here.
Schneider also presented the committee with written testimony and letters of support for the Wyoming Arts Council from a variety of WyAA allies from around the state.
